In Person: Keep Warm Kits for Neighbors

Children and their families will assemble keep warm kits and make cheer cards for neighbors in need. Who this In Person Event is for: Ages 2-12. Adult caregivers are required to accompany child participants. Siblings of participants outside this age range are welcome but may find the event less meaningful and fulfilling. What you’ll be doing: Children will create cheer cards and assemble keep-warm kits filled with items to help our neighbors who receive support from the Smoky Row Food Pantry meet their basic winter wellness needs. Families will meet with librarians at the Old Worthington Library to learn about programs that help neighbors and what libraries offer. Families will have the opportunity to read and learn about resource insecurity, growing in empathy and compassion for our community members who currently need extra help. Specific Instructions: All supplies will be provided. Why you'll be asked to donate: Every time we're able to design, coordinate, and offer an opportunity for kids to give back, it's with the help of supporters like you. Please consider making a generous gift to help us continue to empower kids to create a kinder community with their hearts, hands, and minds.
