In Person: Senior PetCare and Donation Drive

Children will collect pet food to donate, make pet toys, and prepare pet food to be delivered to homebound seniors and their pets. Who this In Person Event is for: Ages 4-12. Adult caregivers are required to accompany child participants. Siblings of participants outside this age range are welcome, but may find the event to be less meaningful and fulfilling. What you’ll be doing: Everyone loves their pet and wants to take the best care of them. Children will learn about the benefits of pet ownership and ways Lifecare Alliance’s Meals-on-Wheels and Senior PetCare programs help support members of our community. We will be touring Lifecare Alliance’s facility, making pet toys, bagging pet food, and accomplishing other activities to support Senior PetCare clients. Children are invited to purchase and/or conduct a donation drive to collect pet food before the event. We will provide a donation flyer in your confirmation email to help. At this time, LifeCare Alliance’s biggest need is cat food, both wet and dry. Specific Instructions: All supplies will be provided. If you are participating in the donation drive, please bring all the collected pet food. Non-expired, open bags of pet food are accepted. Why you'll be asked to pay a supply fee and donate: On the next page, you'll be asked to pay a fee to offset supply costs for this event. These fees are non-refundable. If you have to cancel your registration later, please know that your fee will go toward our efforts to create more meaningful service-focused programs for kids. Every time we're able to design, coordinate, and offer an opportunity for kids to give back, it's with the help of supporters like you. Please consider making a generous gift to help us continue to empower kids to create a kinder community with their hearts, hands, and minds. We never want supply fees to prevent someone from participating in a Seeds of Caring project. If you would like assistance covering your supply fees, please email [email protected] and we will register you for free, no questions asked.
