Housing is Hilarious- A Wine About Housing Event

Join us for wine, networking, and COMEDY to support the MicroLife Institute’s mission for innovative community development! Housing Is Hilarious: A Wine About Housing Event Sometimes, we just have to laugh at ourselves—and at the wonderfully complicated world of the built environment. Why make housing easy when we can add zoning codes, permitting delays, construction budgets, neighborhood meetings, and at least one person asking, “But what about the traffic?” Housing Is Hilarious turns the everyday challenges and absurdities of creating communities into an evening of stand-up comedy, networking, and much-needed laughter. Presented by Georgia Power and in Partnership with the Atlanta Regional Commission as part of the Community Engagement Fellowship. Featuring a performance from Mark Kendall and guest comedians as part of his final project for the fellowship. More about that here - This special Wine About Housing event will bring together housing professionals, planners, developers, public officials, advocates, and community members for a fresh and entertaining look at how—and why—we build the places around us. Come raise a glass, make new connections, and laugh at the beautifully frustrating business of housing. Because the built environment is serious work—but that doesn’t mean we have to take ourselves seriously all the time. Date: November 4 Time: 6:00–9:00 p.m. Location: Little Tree Art Studios, Avondale Estates Proceeds support the MicroLife Institute’s work to expand housing choice and build stronger communities through innovative development and educational programming.
