Join us at Redan-Trotti Library for a special camping-themed story and craft time with Rangers & Librarians. What to expect: Come join us under the tent at Redan-Trotti Library, as Ranger Sherrie and Ms. Emilee bring nature indoors during this limited time program. Listen as the outdoors comes alive through books. Huddle around the "campsite" as we read about adventures, gardening, forests, and other exciting stories. The reading will be followed by a nature-themed craft. Program leader: Your guide will be Ranger Sherrie Barnes, Park Ranger at EMBARC Youth Farm and Emilee Sawicki, Redan-Trotti Library's Children's Librarian Where to meet: Upon entering the library, turn right and enter the auxillary classroom. What to bring: Make sure to bring your listening ears and curiosity! Restrooms: The available bathroom is in the hallway across from the classroom. Recommended ages: This program content is designed for children of all ages. If children are attending, they MUST be accompanied and We just ask that they be supervised by an adult during the entire program. Weather contingency: This program will be held rain or shine unless conditions are deemed unsafe by DeKalb County Recreation, Parks & Cultural Affairs (RPCA). Walking distance: No more than the 100 yards from your car to the entrance of the library. Exposure: The walk to and from the library is in full sun, but the program will be held inside. Trail surface & accessibility: DeKalb County Recreation, Parks & Cultural Affairs is committed to providing inclusive and accessible programs. Reasonable accommodations may be available upon request.
