Consent, Healthy Touch, and Boundaries (12-14-26) IN PERSON

Presented by: Wren Bailey, Family Services Association & Amy VanVerth, CARE House Learning about child sexual abuse makes us more mindful about how we interact with children. Healthy affection and touch is protective from child sexual abuse especially with parents, caregivers, and family members. Building on the education provided in Stewards of Children, this training teaches you some guidelines for healthy touch and safe, respectful ways to interact with children. Learn how to identify guidelines for healthy touch at home and in youth serving settings, how to balance children's needs for warmth and affection with safe, respectful ways of interacting, define and model consent and healthy boundaries, examine healthy sexual development in children to better identify appropriate and inappropriate touching behaviors. CEUs Montgomery County Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services has been approved by: the Ohio Counselor, Social Worker and Marriage and Family Therapist Board to offer continuing education credit hours (Provider #RCS111304 and RTX012515) and has approved this training for 1 hour (ethics) CEUs; the Ohio Chemical Dependency Professionals Board to offer recognized clock hours to Chemical Dependency Counselors (Provider #50-17863) and has approved this training for 1 hour of CEUs (C9) . Other licensing boards may also accept these hours, however it is the attendee’s responsibility to establish this prior to attending.
