2026 Green Industries Best Management Practices Certification Training

Obtain your fertilizer license and stay current on your required continuing education units! Florida law requires all commercial fertilizer applicators to have a Limited Certification from the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS) (s. 482.1562, F.S.). In order to obtain this certification, each commercial applicator must be trained in the GI-BMPs and receive a certificate of completion from UF/IFAS and FDEP. Local ordinances may require that non-commercial fertilizer applicators also be trained. This training is for the following: • Supervisors and employees in the lawn care, pest control, or landscape industries • Municipal parks and recreation facility supervisors and employees • Irrigation industry workers • Commercial property managers • City and county planning department, environmental department, and water quality staff • Builders and developers • Landscape designers and architects • Golf course employees • Anyone working in the areas of water quality, urban development, or environmental issues 2 CEUs per category available for the following: Limited Urban Fertilizer (2) 487/482 Core (2) Limited Certification Commercial Landscape Management (2) Limited Certification Lawn & Ornamental (2) Commercial Lawn & Ornamental (2) Ornamental & Turf Pest Control (2) Private Applicator AG Pest Control (2) Registration will close on Monday, October 12th, 2026 PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED.
