Longleaf Pine Eco-buggy Tour: Afternoon

Hop on the eco-buggy and search for native plants and animals that call Longleaf Pine Preserve home! Join environmental specialist, Tommy Nordmann, for an eco-buggy tour of Longleaf Pine Preserve. We’ll discover the native plants and animals co-existing in the pine flatwoods and cypress swamp ecosystems, and we’ll learn how Volusia County Land Management staff maintain these beautiful places. ** Important note: Waivers must be completed in full to participate in the program. There will be some easy, short walks as well. RESERVATIONS: Required. Unless you have a confirmation email, you are not registered. TICKETS: No printed ticket is necessary. AGES: All ages are welcome. ATTIRE: closed-toe shoes and comfortable clothing for the outdoors ** Some of our trails have mud and/or standing water because they are located in wetland ecosystems and because of seasonal rains and high tides. We recommend you bring a pair of waterproof boots in addition to your regular hiking shoes if you don't want your shoes to get wet. Our leader will let you know the condition of the trails prior to the start of the tour. WHAT TO BRING: water, sunscreen, and bug spray FACILITIES: There is a port-a-let but no running water on site.
