Christmas Bookish Kinusaiga Craft Night - Boulder

'Tis the season for cozy nights, good books, and crafting something you'll actually want to display. Join Plotlines & Passports at The Romance Section Bookstore on December 9th, 2026 from 6:00–8:30pm for a Christmas Kinusaiga Craft Night — part maker's workshop, part bookish hangout, all holiday magic. Kinusaiga is a traditional Japanese fabric-mosaic art form where scraps of cloth are cut and fitted together, puzzle-style, to form a finished image — no sewing, no drippy glue, just careful hands and a little patience. You'll be guided step-by-step through creating your own festive, bookish-themed piece to take home (and hang somewhere your TBR pile can admire it). While your hands are busy, so will the conversation — think favorite holiday romance reads, hot takes on tropes, and swapping recommendations with readers who get it. Expect the kind of found-family energy Plotlines & Passports is built on: every genre, every trope, every reader welcome. No fences, no gatekeeping — just good company and glue that (mercifully) stays where it's supposed to. Whether you're a seasoned crafter or you've never so much as touched a glue stick, you'll leave with a finished piece, a little holiday cheer, and probably three new books on your TBR. What to expect: • Guided kinusaiga instruction, beginner-friendly • All craft supplies included • Bookish conversation and community • A finished keepsake to take home Grab your spot, bring a friend (or come solo — you'll leave with several), and let's get crafty.
