Chicago blues powerhouse Joanna Connor headlines with opener Jack Hadley for an evening of authentic American blues & raw energy Prepare for an intimate evening with Chicago blues royalty! The incomparable Joanna Connor brings her legendary guitar skills and powerhouse vocals to the stage, delivering the raw emotion and technical brilliance that has made her a cornerstone of the Chicago blues scene. Opening the night is Colorado's Jack Hadley. This seated performance promises an up-close experience with a true master who's dedicated her life to keeping the blues alive and thriving Doors 6:45pm. Show 7:30pm Full bar on premises; Plenty of free parking; Lyft and Uber friendly! Joanna Connor "... a mother, a lover, a singer, a guitarist, an actress and a badass blues woman who can't be subdued", American Blues Scene.Singer and blues guitarist Joanna Connor moved to Chicago in 1984. And while her latest album finds her working with bluesman Joe Bonamassa — and backed by keyboardist Reese Wynans, who performed alongside Stevie Ray Vaughan in Double Trouble — a 35 year connection with influential north side blues club Kingston Mines offered her the rare opportunity to jam with artists like Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page. Performing at Kingston Mines coupled with a residency lasting approximately two decades on the Back Porch stage at House of Blues shows Connor as a great example of the way that, prior to pandemic, club residencies, suburban appearances and summer street fests could all combine to keep Chicago musicians working on a nearly full-time basis. https://www.joannaconnorwreckingcrew.com/ https://www.facebook.com/joanna.connor https://www.instagram.com/joannaconnorguitar/ Jack Hadley spent his childhood in the Haight-Ashbury district of San Francisco. Jack’s mother bought him an acoustic guitar at an early age to keep him busy. The family eventually moved to Denver, Colorado, where he learned to play music by ear, playing everything from Hendrix to Dylan, unaware that he was learning the foundation of American music – the Blues.Notable performances include: live on the BBC in London with Otis Taylor | Blues From The Top | BB’s Jazz, Blues & Soups | Brighton Blues Blast | Snowy Range Music Festival | The Rauma Blues Festival in Rauma, Finland. “The St. Louis Sessions” was released in October, 2014, on San Telmo Media. “Daybreak In Alabama - The Langston Hughes Project” was released in July 2020.
