Her work focuses on challenging traditional leadership models and helping organizations unlock greater diversity of thought and human potential. As AI rapidly transforms the way we work, make decisions, and lead, what becomes more important—not less—about being human? Drawing from more than a decade of leadership research and advisory experience, Maria will explore how we need to rethink power and leadership in an increasingly complex and technology-driven world. The conversation builds on ideas from Maria’s book, The Leadership We Need: A New Mindset for a Brighter Future, which offers a new perspective on leadership—one centered around collaboration rather than competition, engagement rather than control, and a clearer sense of purpose in how we lead people, organizations, and society. The approximately 40-minute presentation will include a short pause for personal reflection, giving attendees an opportunity to write down questions and thoughts, followed by an interactive Q&A with Maria. Following the talk, guests are invited to continue the conversation over hors d’oeuvres provided by SACC Colorado and drinks. Two drink tickets are included with admission.
