A high caliber comedy show of some of the best comics in Des Moines or anywhere else! A high caliber comedy show of some of the best comics in Des Moines or anywhere else: the Bomb Shelter at the Beechwood is a Des Moines legacy comedy show! This month we have headlining comics Jamie Carbone and Michael Good! Jamie Carbone is a comedian whose lifetime of awkward experiences and faking adulthood have helped them bring laughs all across the country. They have been a featured performer for festivals across the country such as Austin’s Altercation Comedy Fest and Phoenix’s Bird City, was named one of the Portland Mercury’s and the Seattle Stranger’s Undisputable Geniuses of Comedy, and can be heard on SiriusXM. When they’re not struggling with their anxiety at parties, they spend their free time making videos about being a giant nerd on Instagram and Tiktok @ajamiecarbone Michael Good is a New York-based comedian and co-host of the popular bimonthly show Steve Martin Presents. He is a regular at New York Comedy Club and recently finished 2nd in their comedy competition. He has performed at Moontower Comedy Festival, SF Sketchfest, Flyover Comedy Festival, New York Comedy Festival, Dallas Comedy Festival, Beast Village Comedy Festival, Des Comédie Festival, Out of Bounds Comedy Festival, Motor City Comedy Festival and Hell Yes Fest, and was a finalist in both the Funniest in South Texas and Funniest Person in Austin contests. With them are comics Jason Isaacs, Meg McMichael and a lottery spot for comics as well as host Angie Lynette and Dave Kilbride! Come join us for this incredibly fun, high energy monthly event. While the show is free to the public, donations of $5 are encouraged and accepted! Showtime is 8PM, doors at 7:30PM!
