Life can get busy, and finding genuine community as an adult isn't always easy. Whether you're an entrepreneur, working professional, parent, creative, student, or simply navigating life and looking for meaningful connections, Kynnera is a space where you can come as you are and meet people from different walks of life. Our gatherings are designed to be relaxed and welcoming. There is no pressure to have everything figured out, be the most outgoing person in the room, or even know exactly what you're looking for. Come ready to meet new people, laugh, participate in games and intentional conversations, and hopefully leave feeling a little more connected than when you arrived. What to Expect Join us in Downtown Detroit (exact location released a few days before the event in our private community) for an afternoon centered around connection, conversation, prayer and simply spending time together. Our Prayer Picnic is an opportunity to slow down, meet new people, enjoy the outdoors and create space to encourage and pray with one another. Whether you’ve attended a Kynnera gathering before or this will be your first time, you’re welcome here. We’ll have a relaxed picnic-style setup, group games, conversation and intentional moments of prayer throughout the afternoon. You don’t have to know anyone before you come, and you don’t have to be the most outgoing person in the room—or in this case, the park. Who Is Kynnera For? Kynnera is for adults from all walks of life who desire healthy community, genuine relationships, encouragement, and room to grow. Our community is rooted in Christ-centered values of love, grace, respect, compassion, and service. Whether you have a strong relationship with God, are exploring faith, are rebuilding your relationship with Him, or simply appreciate being in a healthy and encouraging environment, you are welcome. We simply ask that everyone who joins respects the foundation and values of the community. Kynnera was created to make community more accessible Because our styled picnic seating is limited, the first 15 registered guests will have a reserved spot within the picnic setup. If additional attendance is opened, guests may be asked to bring a picnic blanket or lawn chair.
