MOCAD Gala 2026: A Legacy in Motion

Celebrate 20 years of bold art, fearless ideas, and the artists and communities that have shaped MOCAD. This year’s Gala marks a special homecoming as our signature fundraising celebration returns to the Museum following MOCAD’s reopening. Spend an unforgettable evening with artists, collectors, patrons, and friends featuring contemporary art and live auction opportunities, exceptional dining, and celebration. Together, we will toast the past 20 years while helping shape the next 20. Honoring Our Founders As MOCAD celebrates its 20th anniversary, we are proud to honor Marsha Miro, Susanne Feld Hilberry, and Julia Reyes Taubman, the visionaries who first imagined the Museum. Through their leadership, advocacy, and enduring commitment to artists, they created an institution that has championed experimentation, dialogue, and creative risk-taking for two decades. Meet the Evening’s Chef: Javier Bardauil MOCAD is proud to welcome Chef Javier Bardauil, chef and owner of Detroit’s acclaimed BARDA, as the culinary talent behind this year’s Gala. Proceeds from the Gala support MOCAD’s exhibitions, artist-centered projects, public programs, educational initiatives, and continued commitment to serving Detroit’s creative community.
