Event Description: You are invited to celebrate the holiday season at the 2026 Palmer Woods Holiday Home Tour & Soiree. If you purchase a Tour Only ticket, you will get a spectacular tour of five homes decorated festively for the holiday season. If you purchase a Tour & Soiree ticket, you will get to see these 5 homes, along with a few select areas of the historic Bishop’s Mansion where you will enjoy heavy hors d’oeuvres, wine or a holiday specialty drink, and holiday music. A Tour Only ticket does not include access to the Bishop's Mansion. The 2026 Tour will highlight the diversity and splendor of our neighborhood’s varied architectural styles, showcasing the homes impeccably decked out in holiday style. • A 1925 Fazer-Couzens designed English Tudor Revival with charming mix of materials, colors and textures and, refreshing contemporary interior design. The pièce de résistance: a spectacular stately period style Music Room • A spectacular California Contemporary designer home built in 1963 by architectural firm James W. Conn. So has been stylishly restored and renovated by it’s current owners who has infused elements of ‘LA style’ into the décor. Come see how the symphony of superb designer finishes and materials stylishly compliment the architecture making a comprehensive statement of luxury living. • An expertly restored Mid-century Modern home with all period appropriate finishes and furnishings, meticulous into the smallest details. Total bonus: a super fun and whimsical tiki-style basement bar and lounge boasting a carefully curated collection of tiki artifacts underlining the oozing mid-century Pacific vibes. A Holiday Soirée at the Bishop Mansion For one special evening, the Bishop Mansion opens its doors for a rare glimpse inside Detroit's largest home. Home to Detroit's Roman Catholic archbishops for decades, this nearly 40,000-square-foot Tudor Revival landmark is one of Palmer Woods' most storied homes. Its restoration is still underway, and the current owners are inviting guests to celebrate the holidays in a few select spaces. Join your neighbors for a festive evening and experience the grandeur of this remarkable residence up close. Essential Information • The tours are organized in timed shifts to help prevent crowding and provide a safer and more enjoyable experience. • We will have door-to-door shuttles to each home from the off-site parking (across 7 Mile from Palmer Woods), where you can securely park your car. • The number of attendees will be limited, so early ticket purchase is advised. • Please plan for approximately two hours to view all five homes before joining the Soirée You will receive an email the week prior to the event with updated directions where to park and how to travel to each home.
