Learn about Detroit Bird Alliance's work to support the Black Terns breeding at St. Clair Flats! Detroit Bird Alliance has been monitoring the Black Terns at St. Clair Flats since 2013. Our work has included banding, nanotags, nest cameras, and now artificial nesting platforms. Come learn about our past, current, and future work to support this special wetland species. Conservation and Research Coordinator, Ava Landgraf will be presenting along with hands-on props! Please be aware- since this program is in a Metropark, a daily pass ($10) or an annual pass ($40) is required for entry into the park. Folks can also check one out through Michigan Activity Pass at their local library. After registering for this event, you will receive Detroit Bird Alliance's bi-monthly e-newsletter, Flyway Express.
