Royal Oakie Records Showcase featuring 3 singer-songwriters joined by local duo Heavy Gift Three currently Californian singer-songwriters Tom Henry & The Honeys, Jeff Moller and Michael James Tapscott land in Detroit for an evening of songs and sketches. Joining in support is Heavy Gift, a local all-star duo composed of singer-songwriter Fred Thomas and violist/composer Indira Edwards. Native Chicagoan & power pop disciple Tom Henry tours on the release of his latest LP “What’s Left.”Multi-instrumentalist Jeff Moller steps out on his own after years as sideman with Sugar Candy Mountain, Papercuts and many other ensemble projects. Michael James Tapscott creates experimental folk music under a variety of monikers including Odawas, More Animals of the Arctic and Pacific Walker, to just name a few.
