Walk to Windsor: Cross the Gordie Howe International Bridge

Walk from Detroit to Windsor over the new Gordie Howe Bridge and earn your finisher medal. On Saturday, October 10, you can do something Detroiters haven't been able to do in about half a century: walk out of the United States and into Canada. Detroit Social Walk Club is leading a guided group crossing of the new Gordie Howe International Bridge, from Detroit into Windsor, Ontario. It is 1.8 miles from path entrance to exit, roughly 45 minutes at a steady pace, 150 feet above the Detroit River, with a skyline view you cannot get from anywhere else. Every walker gets a Walk to Windsor medal and we take a commemorative group photo. Walk Pass holders are done by about 10:30 AM. Stay and explore Windsor, grab brunch, or walk back to Detroit with the group.
