Theotokos: Bringing Christ Into the World — An Advent Morning of Reflection

An opportunity to consider our own "yes" alongside Mary's this season. “St. Augustine says, ‘What does it avail me that this birth is always happening, if it does not happen in me? That it should happen in me is what matters.’ We shall therefore speak of this birth, of how it may take place in us.” — Meister Eckhart During Advent, we wait with Mary, the Theotokos: God-bearer. In this culturally busy season, we will slow down and wonder what it means for us to “carry Christ” into the world as well. Our morning together will include time for prayer, solitude, and some gentle group reflection. Please bring a journal to write in. Participants are welcome to bring their own lunch and stay on the grounds after the program concludes, for some additional time in contemplative silence.
