Abstract: We have developed Genefox, a new application for iOS, macOS, and Android that facilitates the analysis of 40,000+ public transcriptomic datasets including TCGA, GEO, CCLE, GTEx, and more, in a user-friendly, native interface. GeneFox is developed to be highly performant and flexible, offering a range of visualization types and access to complex data and metadata. It leverages the growing computational power of mobile devices to allow local, on-device statistical analysis and visualizations of high dimensional transcriptomics data across thousands of samples. GeneFox is now available on the App Store and Play Store (https://genefox.app/download). Presenter’s bio: Jared received his Ph.D. in Molecular Genetics and Microbiology from Duke where he studied host-pathogen interactions in tuberculosis using a zebrafish model. While there, he identified a novel role for macrophage NFAT signaling in driving host angiogenesis in response to infection, a process that facilitates bacterial growth. He joined Vindhya Data Science in 2023 as a data scientist where he has worked on many client-facing and internal projects, including a spatial proteomics analysis in papillary renal cell carcinoma that is currently under review for publication.
