Hired & Ready: A Workshop for Aspiring First-Time Managers

Been the go-to person on your team? Learn how to land the manager title and lead a team people want to stay on. Most people land their first management role because they were great at their old job, not because anyone showed them how to get promoted or how to be a manager. If you’re ready to go after that title on purpose, this workshop covers what hiring managers look for, how to position yourself for the role, and how to lead a team people actually want to stay on. On December 2, 2026 @ 9 AM at the Hilton Chicago, Nicki & Q created a session specifically for you! In this 3 hour workshop, we’ll begin by teaching the 4 major skills of all great managers, followed by a hands-on conversation that details step-by-step what you need to do to actually get the job (from a former JPMorgan Chase and current CodePath recruiter). This workshop is for you if you are looking for practical resources and a hands-on approach to your job search as a first-time manager!
