Get ready to paddle your way through a fun-filled day on the water at our Kayak-a-thon event! Kayak-a-thon Come join us for a fun-filled day of kayaking at Lake Katherine Nature Center! Get ready to paddle through the serene waters and enjoy the beauty of nature all around you. Don't miss out on this exciting adventure! Event Date: October 17, 2026 at 8:00 AM (Central Time) In partnership with The Do Good Movement, Lake Katherine will offer this first time event bringing the love for kayaking and running into one place. Get ready to enjoy the serene waters, lush surroundings, and maybe even spot some wildlife along the way. Our event consists of a 20 minute kayak race of a half mile loop. Your goal is to see how many loops you can complete in 20 minutes. After the kayak portion you will have a 15 minute transition to our running portion of the race. You will have another 20 minutes to see how many loops around Lake Katherine you can complete on the woodchip path. Each loop is one mile. There are 6 different time slots within the 4hr allotted timeframe. All participants will receive an official Kayak-a-thon beanie for participating. General FAQ: • Age Restriction: 8 years - 15 years old can participate with parent permission and supervision. • Single kayaks only - no double kayaks. • Lake Katherine will provide kayaks; this is a fun event and each kayak will have different capabilities and speeds. • Check in for your time slot 15 minutes prior to your race time. • Early bird pricing with "DOGOOD" dicount code for $10 off until August 1st.
