Full description from organizerShow less
An evening of Hallowtide chants and art meditations with Kevin Allen, Daniel Alspach, and Father Thomas Aschenbrener. What are the origins of Halloween? Why all the skeletons and spirits? And what does the Catholic faith have to say about death? Kick off Hallowtide with an evening of sacred music, art, and conversation. A quartet and cantor will perform Gregorian chant and choral polyphony, directed by Kevin Allen. Through live music and art meditations, we’ll explore the traditions surrounding All Hallows’ Eve, All Saints’ Day, and All Souls’ Day, and the Catholic understanding of death and eternal life. $20 ticket includes dinner, drinks, and dessert.
