Every 4th Saturday comedian Ben Asher presents a taste of what the NYC-area's best stand-up comics are cooking up at Comedy From Scratch Comedy From Scratch is where you go in Westchester County to hear top comics from TV and NYC's major clubs performing long sets on an intimate stage. Past performers include comedians from HBO, Netlfix, Colbert, SNL, the Daily Show, Letterman, the Tonight Show, Comedy Central, and more. Every month, Ben Asher's presents comedy that reaches up into your brain with the force of a fist through the nose. Named "Best Comedy Show in Westchester" by Westchester Magazine. Every month you can hear some of the most talented comics perform long sets, that other shows don't give them the time to perform. As a stand-up, she's a regular at New York Comedy Club, Union Hall, DontTellComedy, and more and tour nationally. I’ve been a selected performer on festivals like New York Comedy Festival and the Riot Comedy Festival, and was a Gold Comedy 2026 Comedian to Watch. Sarah has opened for Janeane Garofalo, Judy Gold, Mohanad Elsheiky, Gianmarco Soresi, and Isabel Hagen, and can be seen on two episodes of HBO’s Game Theory season 2, an LMAOF comedy special, as well as an upcoming pilot for Adam McKay’s Yellow Dot Studios. I’ve also done cool stuff like hosted the red carper for the Webby Awards. Sarah's pilot scripts have been an official Just For Laughs 2026 pitching selection, and I was an Ars Nova resident for the 2023-2024 season where I developed and premiered my one-woman show "EGG," Called "a charming coming-of-age stand-up show" by New York Times comedy critic Jason Zinoman. EGG has been on a sold-out national tour. Sarah's pilot “BUSTED!” premiered at SeriesFest 2025 and won both the Jury Award for Best Writer and the Audience Award in the Digital Short Series category. After posting "tips for men whose wives are going through perimenopause" video on Instagram and it going viral with millions of views - and being featured in People Magazine - Matt realized this is who he is now. With that said, I'm not just the "king of perimenopause" (self-anointed), I'm also a stand up comedian and comedy writer. My 1/2 hr TV pilot, "On the Line" won Stage32's 4th Annual TV Comedy Screenwriting Competition;. Matt has performed in stand up festivals around the country; and his satire writing has appeared in McSweeney's. Matt is also a satirical business keynote speaker, am the creator of ego-baby.com, a satirical site that spoofs the new age/spirituality scene (think goop.com meets The Onion) and the podcast, The Only Advice You Need, an extension of my satirical keynote character, that offers terrible - bizarre - leadership advice. The material comedians discuss may be what you consider 'Adult' material. Anyone under 16 years of age should be accopanied by a parent or guardian. We would discourage you from bringing any child under 11 years old. If you child is age 11-15, and loves dark stand-up comedy (think George Carlin or Sarah Silverman) and you do, too, then we don't have any problem with them coming. However, if you child's only exposure to comedy is watching Seinfeld, Friends, or any situation comedy from TV, please do not assume you will be comfortable with material being discussed.
