How I Learned to Stop Loving the Car and Discovered Political Economy, written, directed, and performed by Lo Sontag Part memoir, part political awakening, part transportation comedy: a one-woman autofiction in which a riot grrrl on her bicycle in New Jersey retraces her love affair with Los Angeles and the automobile, only to discover that what felt like personal preference was actually law, subsidy, property, power, and political economy all along—a 45-minute show followed by a 45-minute panel on space, power, and Auto Asphyxiation in Greater Newark.
