Most Awesome Brew Ride - Brother Chimp (STC) to Raptor Tap House and Back

Brother Chimp (STC) to Raptor Tap House and Back Sunday September 20th. We will leave Brother Chimp in St. Charles at 11am Join us on September 20th for the final Most Awesome Brew Ride of the season! We're heading north. We've got a beautiful route from Brother Chimp in St. Charles to Raptor Tap House in South Elgin and back. Most of this route is bike trail and what roads you will be on have very little traffic. There are a couple challenging hills though, so we urge you to maintain control on the downhills and warn people behind you if you need to jump off and walk up the few uphills. There is no shame in walking. We will head out of Brother Chimp straight through the neighboring parking lot to the trestle bridge, cross the bridge and head up the steep hill leading away from the river. If you choose to, you can bike through Pottawatomi Park (be careful of other park-goers) but you won’t avoid that steep up-hill away from the river no matter which way you choose. Once up the steep hill, you will head north through a quiet neighborhood to catch up with the Fox River Trail. Follow the Fox River Trail into South Elgin. Cross the bridge, loop under the bridge, follow the trail just a little bit more then take a hard right to Raptor Tap House. We will have route arrows out for you to follow also. Brother Chimp will be open around 10 a.m. in case anyone needs to use the facilities before their ride. Riders will head out in intervals starting at 10:30 am. We will enjoy a selection of offerings from Raptor’s tap list for a while then head back to Brother Chimp for more refreshments. Most Awesome Brew Ride is a Rain-or-Shine event. For that fee you will get a planned and marked route, route maps and sag support. You will also get one free beer ticket from each brewery (additional beers and food purchases will be up to you), a water bottle and a $20 gift card from The Bike Rack. Ride shirts can be bought day-of the event for $20 both before and after the ride at Brother Chimp. Registration is limited to 125 people so sign up now to reserve your space for a fun day of riding.
