Attract, Enroll, Engage, and Retain Families: How Exceptional California Childcare Centers Do It

What would have to be true about your school for a parent to say, I cannot imagine taking my child out of here? Beautiful classrooms and a daily stream of photographs are no longer enough to hold a family. Families stay when the program is genuinely exceptional and when they can see that it is. Those are two different problems, and most schools work on only one. Tim Seldin, Author, Educator and President of The Montessori Foundation, and Anna Leichter of illumine are spending a Saturday morning in Oakland with school leaders working through both. What we'll work through Whether your program is genuinely good enough that families cannot imagine leaving What your school could become known for, owned by you rather than sold by an outside vendor How families find you, and why the phone is not ringing Where prospective families disappear between the first inquiry and the first day Why re-enrollment starts in September, not January This is a working session. You will fill in worksheets, audit your own school, and map your own admissions journey. You leave with three commitments, not a notebook of ideas. Saturday, 17 October, 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM. Rockridge Montessori School, 5610 Broadway, Oakland, California. Free to attend; breakfast included. Places are limited.
