Make a Cookie Plate & Cup for Santa at Avonia Tavern We're taking our clay on the road! Join Erie ClaySpace at Avonia Tavern for a little holiday pottery making. In this hands-on class, you'll use simple slab-building techniques to create a cookie plate and matching, handle-free cup for Santa. Once your pieces are built, you'll decorate them with ceramic underglazes. Add a few Christmas trees, some holiday patterns, or come up with a design of your own! Mel will guide you through the process step by step, so no previous clay experience is needed. All ages are welcome, and children 8 and under must have a parent or guardian assisting them. After class, we'll bring your pieces back to Erie ClaySpace for glazing and firing. Your finished set will be ready for pickup in approximately 2–4 weeks, ready for Santa's Christmas Eve visit!
