Ghosts of Startups Past

Lessons from the startup graveyard. Hear from 3 founders, meet investors and tour Upkept. Thu, Oct 29, 5:30 PM in Rogers. RSVP now! This Halloween season, Station NWA is bringing a few lessons from the graveyard. Ghosts of Startups Past is an evening of honest stories from founders who've been through it. Robin Atkinson, Founder of Upkept; Stephanie Funk, Founder of Acorn: the influence company; and Fran Free, Founder of Oh Baby Foods, will look at their past ventures to share what went wrong and the lessons they still carry. These are the stories that rarely make the pitch deck. Failure is part of building and it teaches more than most wins do. Come hear what these founders would tell their past selves and leave with lessons you can use before your own startup gets haunted. The event is being held at Upkept, so it's also a chance to get a look inside Robin's facility and see the space she's built firsthand. Capital Factory, along with other investors, will be in attendance, eager to connect. Who should attend: Founders, aspiring entrepreneurs, operators, investors, and anyone in the NWA startup community who wants a real look at what building a company takes. Food will be sponsored by Archie's Sandwichery. Space is limited, so RSVP early to save your spot.
