The Bounties of Baja—A Different Kind of Harvest Dinner

Join us for a farm-to-table wine dinner, featuring Baja-inspired food paired with natural wines by our favorite Mexican producers. The spin on the harvest dinner we've all been waiting for. Guest Chef MJ Cordova is taking over the kitchen for one night to create a multi-course, family-style feast—where Baja flavors meet New England produce at the height of harvest. Each course is expertly paired with wine from producers like Bichi, Radicante, and Vinos Pijoan—the people making the most exciting wine in Valle de Guadalupe right now. This is a corner of the wine world most people haven't been given a proper introduction to, and we can't wait to host you for this one-of-a-kind culinary experience. About the Chef MJ learned to grow food before she learned to cook it. Her culinary education started in the French Basque Country, where she developed a deep appreciation for growing food, cooking and community. That curiosity took her to beloved Siena Farms in Sudbury, where she took on the role of Harvest and Greenhouse Manager. Restaurants pulled her in next. She joined the back-of-house team at James Beard Award-winning Oleana Restaurant in Cambridge, and went from first-time line cook to sous chef while simultaneously earning her master's in Gastronomy at BU. Today she's the sous chef at Sofra in Allston, where she cooks food that's thoughtful, vibrant, and full of flavor. We'll thrilled to welcome her into the Dear Annie kitchen for this very special evening. The Menu Served family-style, subject to change based on seasonal availability. Baja-style oysters with Bichi 'Pet Mex' Shrimp Aguachile, Habanero Honey Harvest Succotash Tostada with Radicante 'Brisado' Ensenada-Style Maine Jonah Crab Mezcal-Glazed Farm Carrots with Vinos Pijoan 'Arbol de Fuego' House-Smoked Whole Fish, Papas Con Rajas with Bichi 'Listan' Chocolate Tajín-i Truffle, Sesame This menu contains shellfish, dairy, and gluten. Due to the nature of this event, substitutions and omissions cannot be made. The Booking Each ticket confirms seating for one guest—please book the number of tickets you'll need for each guest in your party (ie a party of two requires a booking of 2 tickets). Tickets include food and a 4-course wine or N/A beverage pairing, plus tax and gratuity. Additional wines by the glass will be available for purchase during the event. Seating for this event will be communal, and you will be seated next to other guests. This is a family-style menu, and ticket times are for the duration of the event, so please arrive on time.
