Explore unexpected films and put your media instincts to the test this October. Join us this ArtHop! This October, we’re spotlighting local filmmakers and exploring the strange, thrilling, and unexpected side of storytelling. Throughout the evening, you’ll experience films created by talented producers from across the Central Valley, along with opportunities to explore CMAC and learn more about the media we encounter every day. Inside the studio, we’ll have multiple screenings happening throughout the night, featuring local films that range from eerie and otherworldly to imaginative and suspenseful. Settle in for a screening, discover new work, and experience the creativity coming from filmmakers right here in the Central Valley. *NOTE: Screening times may vary. You’ll also have a chance to explore CMAC throughout the evening, including our recording spaces, member resources, and community content. Whether it’s your first visit or you’ve been here before, ArtHop is a chance to see what’s happening inside our walls and get a closer look at the spaces where local media is made. And if you’re ready to look beyond the screen, our Media Literacy Series will challenge you to put your media instincts to work. Learn how to separate fact from fiction and take a closer look at the information, images, and stories we encounter every day. ✨ Come hang out, explore local media, catch a few films, and see what’s happening at CMAC this October!
