Community Day at the Back Bay

This is an open house style event and staff and volunteers will be available on site to answer your questions. Join us anytime between 10am-2pm on Sundays to tour the facility, including Shellmaker trail, teaching lab, and aquatic lab. Learn about the Back Bay Science Center's Educational Programs and how you can get more involved. Also on site, you will find Newport Bay Conservancy’s Native Plant Nursery. Our nursery cultivates native California plants, which play a crucial role in habitat restoration in the Upper Newport Bay. Come on by to check out what's growing!
