The Art of Death, Plein Air Art Event

Get ready to capture the beauty of life and death on canvas with some fresh outdoor painting vibes. Evergreen Cemetery is hosting a plein air art event. Artists will capture the natural beauty of Evergreen Cemetery starting on Saturday, October 10 at 9AM. Artists should bring their own easel, seat and art supplies. Mediums include: oil, watercolor, acrylic, pastels, and drawing. Artists may return to the cemetery to create as often as they want through October 18 at 5PM. Artwork must be framed and submitted for judging by October 26. This event is offered free of charge and is open to all adult artists, professional and amateur. Registration will be capped at 50 participants. Visitors will be invited to Evergreen Cemetery to witness firsthand as the artists transform a blank canvas into magnificent works of art capturing the beauty of Evergreen Cemetery. Artwork will be judged. Ribbons and certificates will be awarded to winners of each medium category. An art reception will be hosted from 5-8 PM on Halloween, Saturday, Oct 31 where original works of art will be available for purchase. Questions? Contact [email protected]
