M. Joy Lemon-Realist Florals in Oil

You will learn to carefully observe the play of light across petal forms and harness value and color to render that likeness. This is an oil painting workshop. M. Joy Lemon - About the Artist Discover the timeless beauty of flowers in oil paint as you explore and utilize a variety of techniques to capture their likeness with confidence and efficiency. In this hands-on workshop, you will learn to carefully observe the play of light across petal forms and harness value and color to render that likeness. Starting with foundational drawing skills, a paint transfer, and value mapping, you will progress to mixing vivid colors, refining edges, and building depth for luminous, realistic results. Whether you are a beginner looking to strengthen your observational skills and gain a solid foundation in oils, or an experienced painter eager to elevate your technique, you will leave with practical tools, renewed confidence, and a beautiful finished floral composition. All skill levels are welcome, though previous oil painting experience is a plus.
