Watch Robots Battle! Grand River Rumble Tournament in Walker

Come watch 3D-printed robots battle it out in a full tournament at Grand River Makerspace. Free and family-friendly! Robots. Spinners. Flippers. Carnage. The Grand River Rumble, West Michigan’s newest combat robotics league, is hosting a full tournament at Grand River Makerspace, and you’re invited to watch! Builders of all ages have designed, 3D-printed, and wired up their own 1-lb fighting robots. Now they’ll face off head-to-head in an enclosed, polycarbonate-walled arena until one bot is left standing. Expect flying parts, flipped robots, plenty of cheering, and maybe a rock-paper-scissors tiebreaker or two. What to expect • Head-to-head tournament matches, 2 minutes each or until knockout • Robots built by local kids, families, engineers, and hobbyists • A chance to meet the builders, see their bots up close, and learn how to get into the sport • A look around Grand River Makerspace, our community workshop with 3D printers, lasers, CNC, and more Good to know • Free to watch. No ticket needed, but registering here helps us plan for seating. • All ages welcome. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. • Fighting happens inside an enclosed arena, so spectators stay safely outside the action. • Arrive early to grab a good spot! Want to compete next time? Our league uses beginner-friendly 1-lb plastic robot kits. No experience needed.
