Join us for Electrophone Salon, a free gathering dedicated to electronic instruments & sound. Electrophone Salon November 2026 ... Have a piece of gear you'd like to show us? Email [email protected] to discuss. These events are free (with registration) and are intended to create a welcoming space to listen, learn, and connect around the art and craft of electronic sound. Use the ticket link to register. And a historical note—"Electrophone Salon" is not a new phrase. It was also used to describe a listening center, like a café or club, in London (Victorian/Edwardian era circa 1890s-1920s) where people paid to use special headsets to hear live theatre, music, and church services transmitted over telephone lines, acting as an early form of live-streaming before radio became popular.
