Kids dissect pumpkins to plant pansies inside them at the Fall Harvest Field. All supplies are provided for this drop-in activity. The plants can grow indoors or outdoors with plenty of light.

Join us in the Fall Harvest field to plant some pretty pansies in pumpkins! Kids Pansy Pumpkin Planter | 10/9 | $10 Visit us at the Fall Harvest Field anytime from 11:00-3:00 for drop-in pansy planting fun! You and your child will have fun dissecting a pumpkin and planting a pansy inside. All supplies and tools will be provided. Purchase on site or register online. $10 per project. This activity is offered at other dates and times. See our October events for more upcoming activities. Fun fact about Pansy Pumpkin Planters: the nutrients inside the pumpkin help get the pansy nutrients to bloom! These can live indoors or outside, just make sure they get plenty of light and are watered. The whole planter can even be put in the ground, where the pumpkin will act as a fertilizer for the soil and eventually decompose.
