Join Stanley-Whitman House for our annual Ghost Walk Tours at Memento Mori Cemetery, where costumed interpreters bring documented stories from Farmington’s past to life among the gravestones of one of the town’s oldest historic sites. During this approximately 45–50 minute walking tour, you’ll encounter people whose lives illuminate Farmington’s colonial and Revolutionary-era history—stories of family and community, faith and conflict, love and loss—drawn from the historical record and interpreted in the place where generations of Farmington residents were laid to rest. Memento Mori is a Latin reminder of mortality: “Remember that you die.” Today, this historic burying ground offers an extraordinary setting to remember the individuals behind the names and dates carved into its stones.
