Slip Proof Tutoring Presents: Reading Pow Wow

A casual reading circle for 1st- and 2nd-graders to practice word pronunciation and build sight-word recognition among their peers. Slip Proof Tutoring Presents: Reading Pow Wow is an in-person reading circle for 1st- and 2nd-grade students that allows small group lessons for understanding. About the reading circle Students practice pronouncing words and build sight word recognition. The goal is to help more children become avid readers, with the understanding that reaching new reading levels takes practice and patience. Slip Proof Tutoring has been servicing the High Desert/Inland Empire since 2023, helping students from the ages of Kindergarden to 12th grade achieve their academic goals. In an effort to give back to the community, we are pushing our efforts to increase the reading/literacy gaps of the under marginalized youth one reading circle at at time!
