In this 2-hour demonstration class, we’ll demystify the sourdough bread-making process and give you the knowledge and confidence to start baking sourdough bread at home. We’ll walk through the process from starter to finished loaf, including how to care for your sourdough starter, mix and develop your dough, and properly shape, score, and bake a rustic loaf. We’ll also talk about one of the best parts of keeping a sourdough starter—finding delicious ways to use your discard! Throughout the class, you’ll enjoy freshly baked sourdough bread served with Prairie Food Co-op spreads and butter, along with freshly baked sourdough discard chocolate chip cookies.
