BFCC Presents: Vampire in Brooklyn | Matinee + Mimosas

Kick back with some mimosas and catch a great film with the Black Film Club Collective for a fun matinee vibe. Vampire in Brooklyn: A Halloween Matinee + Mimosas Black Film Club Collective is going back to our roots: a good film, something to sip, something to eat, music in the room, and good people to experience it all with. For our October edition, we’re sinking our teeth into the 1995 cult classic Vampire in Brooklyn, starring Eddie Murphy and Angela Bassett. Part horror. Part comedy. Part romance. Completely ’90s. When a mysterious stranger named Maximillian arrives in Brooklyn searching for the woman destined to become his mate, he finds Detective Rita Veder—and things get strange, seductive, and very funny from there. Directed by Wes Craven and led by Eddie Murphy in multiple roles alongside Angela Bassett, Vampire in Brooklyn brings together Black romance, supernatural horror, comedy, and camp in a film that has found a new appreciation with audiences over the years. And because it’s Halloween weekend, we’re not just watching the movie—we’re setting the mood. 🩸 WHAT TO EXPECT 🥂 Mimosas + Spirits (Courtesy of Bull Young Bourbon) 🍴 Lite Bites 🎬 Vampire in Brooklyn 🎶 DJ + Sunday Vibez 💬 Post-Film Conversation 🧛🏾 Costumes Encouraged, Never Required Sunday, October 25, 2026 | 3:00 PM 📍 Three Cities Social – River North Come for the movie.
