Garden Workshop: Perennial Plant Propagation

Explore simple and effective techniques for multiplying perennial plants, and take home your propagated plants Join us for a hands-on Perennial Plant Propagation Workshop and discover simple and effective techniques for multiplying perennial plants. Working with plants from our extensive gardens designed by Piet Oudolf, you will learn about seed propagation, division, cuttings, layering, proper planting and aftercare. This workshop is perfect for beginners and experienced gardeners alike. Come grow with us and take home a gift from what you propagate. Tickets are required. General Admission tickets are $15. If you sign up to be a TBC Member, you will receive a promo code in your email that you can input during registration to waive the ticket fee. Workshop is designed for adults; children ages 13 and up are welcome to participate alongside an adult chaperone if they have their own ticket. Location: Meet at the benches in front of SeaGlass Carousel. Please refer to this map or these coordinates to help you find the meeting spot. What to bring: Please note that this is an outdoor workshop. Wear closed-toe shoes and any layers and sun protection you will need to be comfortable outside for the event. You should also bring a reusable bag or box with you for carrying home your arrangement. Foul weather plan: This is an entirely outdoor program. It will occur light rain or shine; in the event of inclement weather, participants will be e-mailed in advance with notice of any changes. If the weather looks less than clear on the day of the event, please check your email and also this page for updates before making your way to the park. COVID-19 Policy for Events: • We encourage any event participants that are not vaccinated against COVID-19 to please wear a mask while participating in our public programs. • We ask that participants stay home if feeling sick or if they've had a known COVID-19 exposure in the last 5 days.
