Meditation with Tea: A Chinese Tea Ceremony for Stillness

Begin your Sunday with a Zen meditation followed by a Chinese tea ceremony, cultivating mindfulness and awakening your senses. In this immersive experience, you’ll take part in a guided Zen meditation and appreciate two kinds of carefully brewed Chinese tea. Tea supports the meditation practice, while the mindful attention cultivated through meditation deepens sensory awareness, allowing us to notice the subtle aromas and flavors of tea. For this session, the tea ceremony will feature Zhengyan Premium Dahongpao, a Wuyi rock tea with nutty, floral, and creamy aromas and a balanced, layered taste. What You Will Experience • Cultivating Mindfulness: We will do a guided Zen meditation to relax our body and mind, gain mindfulness, and embrace the present moment. • Awakening the Senses: During the welcome tea and the Chinese tea ceremony, we will use Zen techniques to awaken our senses and fully appreciate the aroma and taste of each tea. • Exploring the Zen Tea Culture: When tea culture began flourishing over a millennium ago, it was closely connected with Zen and meditation. Today, we will explore the unique cultural experience of “Zen and tea, one in taste.” Limited to only 8 spots, ensuring a deeply immersive experience for each attendee. Join us to embrace mindfulness and savor wonderful teas!
