Join NYC H2O, the Natural Resources Protective Association, and Council Members Carr and Morano for a volunteer cleanup at Oakwood Beach. Participants help remove trash from the beach and wetlands, which are home to a high density of Osprey. Supplies are provided for the cleanup.

NYC H2O, NRPA and CM Carr for a volunteer cleanup at Oakwood Beach! Join NYC H2O along with the Natural Resources Protective Association and Council Members Carr and Morano for a volunteer cleanup at Oakwood Beach! Oakwood Beach and adjoining wetlands deal with a double-edged sword of being a secret to most of Staten island. The site holds one of the highest density populations of Osprey seen on the Island. While the wildlife holds strong, the few people that are around, and the close proximity to a waste plant, brings in a huge amount of trash. The cleanup will run from 10 am to 12 pm. Gloves, garbage bags, and pickers will be provided. Make sure to bring water and dress appropriately for the weather! We will meet at the end of Tarlton Ave in Staten Island.
