Free walking club on a safe gated track in Ewa Beach. 7 laps = 1 mile. Veterans, seniors, and community welcome - Saturdays at 8 AM. Safe. Simple. Consistent. The AMVETS Hawaii Walking Club meets every Saturday morning on our gated track in Ewa Beach. Walk at your own pace, as far as you want, with people who will notice if you skip a week. WHY THIS TRACK Gated and safe - no traffic, no loose dogs, no e-bikes, no hassles. 7 laps = 1 mile, so tracking distance is easy. Shaded rest area and clean restrooms. Plenty of parking right there. WHO IT IS FOR Veterans, seniors, families, and anyone in the community. Every pace welcome - from brisk walkers to people using a walker, cane, or wheelchair. Nobody gets left behind and nobody gets rushed. WHY WALKING It is the most sustainable form of exercise there is. Thirty minutes of walking most days supports heart health, blood sugar, joint mobility, sleep, and mood - with almost no injury risk and no equipment to buy.
