Hybrid workshop on how to use your own smartphone (or tablet) as a camera and editing tool to create professional video content. Choose between virtual OR in-person instruction at ticket checkout! The workshop teaches participants the foundations of creative media storytelling, basic composition, and effective video communication strategies. Students can choose to use their own smartphones (iOS or Android) or ʻŌlelo’s iPads as a camera and editing tool as they follow a step-by-step process of creating a short video from script to screen. ʻŌlelo Community Media members will gain certification to check out ʻŌlelo’s mobile camera and audio equipment. 50% discounts available for participants who fall in any of these categories: • Kupuna (Age 60+) • Students (with current student ID) • Kōkua (e.g., SNAP, TANF, WIC, or Medicaid card) • Participants who select a discounted ticket are required to present documentation to instructor before the start of class. No stacking of discounts allowed (only one discount option applies). Refunds up to 7 days before the first day of class. Photo/Video Release: By participating in ʻŌlelo Community Media’s classes and workshops, participants give permission for free use of their name, voice, creative work, and picture in any advertising or promotion of ʻŌlelo Community Media’s services.
