Family-friendly Halloween adventure in Kailua! Guided tours, trick-or-treat, crafts & fun—Hauntopia runs Oct 23-25 and Oct 28- 31 🎃 Hauntopia 2026: A Spooky Adventure! Presented by Da Dream Lab in partnership with Kailua Dance Academy, Kailua Music School, and other amazing local businesses Hauntopia is back for its third year! This Halloween, Da Dream Lab invites families to step inside Hauntopia, a one-of-a-kind, guided Halloween adventure created especially for keiki and families. Explore Da Dream Lab as it transforms into a series of spooky, silly, creative, and completely immersive Halloween spaces. Along the way, families will travel through themed rooms, participate in hands-on activities, trick-or-treat, play games, take photos, and discover surprises around every corner. Each stop along the tour features something different, with art, science, movement, music, games, and Halloween fun brought to life by Da Dream Lab and some of our favorite community partners. And for returning Hauntopia families, 2026 brings new themes, activities, surprises, and experiences to discover! 👻 HOW SPOOKY IS HAUNTOPIA? We rate Hauntopia just 2 ghosts out of 10 on the scare scale. Hauntopia is designed to feel exciting and Halloween-y without being a traditional haunted house. You may encounter dim spaces, spooky decorations, Halloween characters, music, and a few surprises, but our goal is fun, not fear. Hauntopia is especially designed for keiki ages 3–12, although the whole family is welcome to join the adventure. 🎃 WHAT TO EXPECT Your Hauntopia experience includes: • A 60–90 minute guided adventure through Da Dream Lab • Brand-new themed experiences for 2026 • Trick-or-treating throughout the tour • Hands-on art and science activities • Games and interactive challenges • Music, movement, and group activities • Halloween photo opportunities • Take-home creations and special giveaways • Appearances and activities from community partners • Plenty of festive surprises along the way Costumes are HIGHLY encouraged, so come dressed and ready for your Halloween adventure! The warehouse DOES get hot, but most of our rooms are air-conditioned. 🕒 TOUR TIMES Hauntopia operates using scheduled entry times to help us keep groups manageable and give families enough time to enjoy each experience. Tours generally last approximately 60–90 minutes, depending on group size, activity pace, and how much fun everyone is having along the way. Please arrive on time for your scheduled tour. Because Hauntopia is a guided experience, arriving significantly late may mean joining a later group if space is available. Additional tour times may be added as sessions fill. 🎟️ TICKETS Keiki Ticket: For children participating in the Hauntopia experience. Adult Ticket: For parents, guardians, and other adults accompanying their keiki through Hauntopia. Keiki Ages 2 & Under: FREE! Children 2 and under do not need to participate in activities and may accompany their family throughout the experience. To help keep tour groups comfortable and kid-focused, adult tickets may be limited based on the number of participating children in your reservation. Need to bring additional adults? Contact Da Dream Lab before purchasing and we will do our best to accommodate your ʻohana. 📍 LOCATION Da Dream Lab 905 Kalanianaʻole Hwy #3304 Kailua, HI 96734 Located in Kapaʻa Industrial Park, Building 33 👪 WHO IS HAUNTOPIA FOR? Hauntopia is designed primarily for families with children ages 3–12. Younger siblings are welcome, and adults are encouraged to participate alongside their keiki. Some activities may be especially exciting for our younger visitors, while others give older keiki a chance to experiment, create, compete, and explore. This is not a traditional haunted house. Hauntopia focuses on imagination, creativity, Halloween magic, and just a tiny bit of spooky. 🎭 COSTUMES Costumes are strongly encouraged! Please choose costumes that allow children to comfortably walk, create, play, and participate in activities. Because the experience includes stairs, activities, and movement between spaces, extremely long costumes, oversized props, or costumes that significantly limit visibility or movement may need to be adjusted during the tour. ♿ ACCESSIBILITY We want as many families as possible to be able to experience Hauntopia. Most areas of Da Dream Lab are wheelchair accessible; however, two portions of the Hauntopia experience are not accessible by wheelchair due to the layout of our facility. We have alternate experiences available so guests who cannot access those areas can still participate in the adventure. Please contact us before your visit if someone in your group uses a wheelchair or has other accessibility needs so our team can help plan the best possible experience. 🎧 SENSORY & COMFORT INFORMATION Hauntopia includes music, Halloween decorations, changing environments, groups of people, and periods of increased activity. While we intentionally avoid extremely scary sounds or effects, some rooms may have lively or louder music. Families with sound-sensitive keiki may want to bring headphones or hearing protection. Sensory accommodations may also be available. Please contact Da Dream Lab ahead of your visit if someone in your ʻohana would benefit from adjustments. Our classrooms are air-conditioned, but hallways, playground spaces, and outdoor portions of the experience may be warmer or more humid. 👶 STROLLERS We strongly recommend leaving strollers in your vehicle whenever possible. A designated stroller parking area may be available, but strollers cannot travel through all portions of the Hauntopia tour. 🕸️ A KAILUA HALLOWEEN TRADITION What started as a crazy Halloween idea has grown into one of our favorite community events of the year. Hauntopia brings together local businesses, educators, artists, performers, families, and hundreds of keiki for a Halloween experience built around creativity, community, and play.
