We are so excited to announce that Mamas Pause & Keiki Play is now a monthly recurring gathering, taking place on the first Wednesday of every month from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at The Leeward Portal! At The Leeward Portal, we deeply honor mothers. Mamas are truly among the most in-need of dedicated care, nourishment, and holding in our society. Furthermore, we believe there is profound power in modeling self-love and self -care: when our children see us taking time to nurture our own minds, bodies, and spirits, they learn the essential importance of self-care for their own lives. What to Expect Come enjoy a gentle morning filled with light refreshments, warm commUNITY connection, and empowering self-care modalities designed to support your nervous system. Throughout the morning, mamas will have access to restorative resources and modalities, such as (each gathering might be slightly diffferent): • Soothing Sound Healing: Surrender into deeply calming sound vibrations designed to ground you, clear stress, and reset your energy. • Nourishing Massage Therapy: Unwind and release physical tension with hands-on bodywork. • Grounding Breathwork: Reconnect with your breath through guided practices that restore balance and inner peace. • Holistic Resources & Modalities: Explore empowering self-care insights and tools to carry into your daily motherhood journey. • Supported Keiki Play & Snacks: Children are warmly welcomed! While mamas receive, keiki will enjoy engaging activities, play, books, and delicious snacks in a safe and supported environment. We invite you to step into this container with an open heart and a willingness to share in mutual respect, compassion, and unity. All are welcome! Donation & CommUNITY Support The Leeward Portal is a faith-based non-profit organization, and Mamas Pause & Keiki Play is a love-led, donation-based gathering. We are not looking to make a profit—our priority is creating a nourishing sanctuary for mamas. However, hosting an event like this involves significant out-of-pocket expenses for food, drinks, plates, paper goods, and keiki activity supplies. The mamas who host and facilitate put so much heart and personal resources into creating this beautiful experience! If every mom who attends can chip in even $5 or $10 to help cover the cost of snacks and supplies, it makes a huge difference in helping us keep this monthly gathering sustainable. Cash and venmo doantaion are excepted at the event.
