Paul Shimomoto & The Swing Syndicate

Paul Shimomoto For one night, the glamour, romance, and swing of Sinatra's songbook come alive in Waikīkī. Hawaii vocalist and crooner, Paul Shimomoto, makes his Blue Note Hawaii debut with a stylish journey through the music of Frank Sinatra---from the exhilarating swing of his classic recordings to romantic ballads and some of the most enduring standards ever written. This is not an impersonation. Shimomoto brings his own voice and personality to the music, combining timeless songs with stories, humor, and the intimacy and spontaneity of a great jazz-club performance. Behind him is an exceptional ensemble of Hawaii jazz artists: Dan Del Negro on piano, DeShannon Higa on trumpet, Reggie Padilla on saxophone, Mark Tanouye on bass, and Noel Okimoto on drums. Think Waikīkī after dark, a great band, a great cocktail, and songs that never go out of style.
