September 2026 Aloha+ Workday

Join HGG and Kōkua Hawaiʻi Foundation for a hands-on workday and tour at the Kōkua Learning Farm in Haleʻiwa! Eventbrite September spotlights the Aloha+ Goal on Green Workforce and Education (GWE)! By 2030, Hawaiʻi aims to increase availability to, access for, and training opportunities that expand local green jobs and education to implement the Aloha+ Challenge and the future state that is required to sustain them. Providing opportunities to participate in place-based learning, ʻāina-based education, and fostering innovation across industries are some of the ways that HGG and our partners are helping Hawaiʻi reach the Green Workforce and Education Goal. Our September Workday partners at the Kōkua Hawaiʻi Foundation have been focusing on ʻāina-based (GWE Target 01) learning since 2003. Rooted in Haleʻiwa, Oʻahu, their space features the Kōkua General Store, Kōkua Community Center, Kōkua Learning Farm, Backyard Garden, and ʻĀINA Farm Stand. These different areas provide paths for environmental learning, internships, and employment opportunities, directly contributing to our Aloha+ Goal! Join us for our Community Aloha+ Workday NEXT FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 25 to visit the Kōkua Learning Farm to learn more about how Kōkua Hawaiʻi Foundation connects keiki, people and ʻāina to grow our state’s future the green workforce and educate our community about sustainable practices. At this Workday, we will be engaging in hands-on activities like weeding, mulching, and planting before touring the farm. Date: Friday, September 25, 2026 Time: 9am to 11:30am Location: 66-249 Kamehameha Hwy., Haleʻiwa, Oʻahu Please bring/wear: Lunch, sunscreen/sun protection, water/refillable water bottle, closed toe shoes, and clothes to get dirty.
