The Life of the Party: Film Screening and Discussion

A nonpartisan conversation on women, leadership, and politics in Texas. Join us for a special Houston screening of The Life of the Party, presented in partnership with the League of Women Voters of Houston, Braver Angels of Houston Area, and Texas Matters on Monday, August 28 at the Match Theater from 6:30P-9:00P. The Life of the Party is a 40-minute documentary following three Republican women in Texas with sharply different views of their party as they navigate leadership, political identity, and a changing political landscape. Their stories raise questions that reach beyond a single party. Following the screening, Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Lisa Falkenberg will lead a panel discussion with former Texas State Representative and film participant Sarah Davis, Houston Council Member Julian Ramirez, President of the League of Women Voters of Houston Priscila True, the founder and CEO of Texas Matters Marnie Rulfs, and co-directors Meg Griffiths and Scott Faris.
